Stroke prevention for your patients with atrial fibrillation
The Canadian Cardiovascular Pharmacists Network (CCPN) SPAF App is designed to assist Canadian healthcare professionals optimize stroke prevention treatment in their patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation. It was modeled after the CCPN SPAF pocket card. It incorporates CHADS2 and HAS-BLED calculators and provides recommendations for stroke prevention therapy based on the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) 2014 AFIB Guidelines. This app also includes practical drug information and management tools, which allow healthcare professionals to compare therapeutic options and tailor therapy to individual patients’ needs. It is intended as a general reference to supplement the existing knowledge of healthcare professionals.
